HIV/AIDS

A couple of NGOs for development cooperation and Sensoa started in the autumn of 2003 with the informal working group on aids. In the first place, this was created out of the need to exchange more structurally information and experiences on Aids in development cooperation. In the months thereafter, the group has been extended with members from the government administration, research institutions and universities.

Mission

Poverty reduction is central in the Belgian development cooperation. There is a clear link between aids and poverty.

Within this framework, the working group wants to mobilize the various Belgian actors so that Belgium would implement an aids policy contributing to the reduction of the aids impact in the world.

The working group wishes to do this through intensified cooperation and exchange of knowledge, information and experiences in the field of hiv/aids and through lobbying.

Important:  Sensoa manages the secretariat and the personal information of the members of the working group HIV/AIDS.
