ITM Alumni webinar #5 – Corona in the world: Kenya, interventions, challenges, lessons learnt and way forward
Description
Kenya continues to battle the COVID-19 pandemic with cases steadily rising each day. On May 25, Kenya counts 1214 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 51 deceased persons. Kenya as of May 10 was the fourth most impacted country in the East / Horn of Africa region only behind Djibouti, Sudan and Somalia. What is the current situation of the spread of COVID-19 in Kenya? Which type of interventions have been implemented? Which are the main challenges the country is facing in the fight against COVID-19? What has worked well/successes and what didn’t? Which way forward?
These questions will be discussed by ITM alumna Dr Anne Muendi Musuva (MPH 2012 and EV 2014) and involved in the Corona-outbreak in Kenya as a member of the COVID-19 national task force representing the Kenya HealthCare Federation.
