ITM ECOHUB call for Conference Grants 2026

The Thematic Global Network on Climate change, urbanisation and health (Ecohub) is a multi-country network that aims at strengthening the capacity of the network partners for research, education and practice on climate change, urbanisation and health. Capacity sharing through the use of peer support, coaching, mentoring and twinning is central to the Ecohub.

Conference grants  

With this call, we support Ecohub researchers to participate in conferences on climate change/urbanisation and health.  

Budget and duration

The conference should take place in 2026 and the maximum budget is 2.500 € per application. Please note that alle expenses need to be made before the end of October 2026.  

Scope

Applications may include the costs of conference registration, flights, accommodation and per diems (max. 2.500 €). The travel regulations of the candidate’s institution should be adhered to.

Eligibility criteria

The candidate should have a proof of acceptance from the conference organisers, confirming an oral presentation or participation in a panel discussion, an organized session or a (training) workshop. It is expected that the grantee shares the accepted presentation/poster and/or highlights of the attended conference with the Ecohub network in a webinar (to be organized by Ecohub in coordination with the grantee).

Selection process

The proposals will be screened by the Ecohub coordination team.  

Selection criteria:  

Alignment: clear argumentation as to whether the conference is in line with the objective of the call and the Ecohub’s objectives.

Relevance: clear explanation of the relevance of the conference for you and your organisation.
