Alain Kabemba Mbaya is a lawyer and a coordinator for Palliative Care Programmes in the DRC within the Pallia Familli association, an implementing partner of the nonprofit organisation IYAD.
Alain Kabemba works on promoting palliative care and improving patient access to opioids for pain management, with a particular focus on advocating for the integration of this care package into Universal Health Coverage.
He holds a Master’s degree in Private and Judicial Law from the University of Kinshasa, along with certificates in Project Management and Palliative Care.
