Juste MOMBOTO MOSOKO is 38 years old, married and has 4 children. He is a public health expert currently working for the NGO Memisa Belgium as Regional Technical Coordinator and Assistant for the South Ubangi province in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Long before that, he was a doctor and Director of hospitals. In the recent past, he was Chief Medical Officer of the Health Zone in Bokonzi. This rural area, which was ravaged by an ethnic conflict in 2009, is located in the middle of the equatorial forest. It has been hit hard by the devastating effects of deforestation and climate change on crops and wildlife. His time in rural, remote and disadvantaged areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo has given him a growing interest in environmental conservation.
