Karen De Wilde

Karen De Wilde  has a Masters’ degree in educational sciences, with specialization on disability (University of Leuven, 1985) and a Masters’ degree in sexology (University of Leuven, 2013).

She started to work on Sex and Relationships Education (SRE) in April 1991. The first 10 years she has worked most of the time directly with young persons and children in schools and institutions. In 2001 she started working for Sensoa, the Flemish expertise centre on sexual health, her main job is training professionals on SRE.

Since 2009 she is working in 2 half-time jobs: 50% Sensoa and another 50% for Katholiek Onderwijs Vlaanderen (umbrella organization of catholic schools) as a trainer and staff member, with as main focus: sex and relationships education. She has large expertise in evaluating sexual (transgressive) behaviour in children and young persons.
