The transformative power of the Planetary Health social movement

This year the Planetary Health Alliance (PHA) is organising its Planetary Health Annual Meeting (PHAM) in Rotterdam, themed “Planetary Health for All and In All: Boosting Urgency and Agency for Systems Change.”

Be-cause health became a member of the PHA in 2024. During the pre-conference day the WG Planetary Health is organising a side-event on the transformative power from the Planetary Health social movement. Planetary health is a social movement, but this aspect is often not discussed in the current debate. This side event is an important opportunity to focus on the vibrant Planetary Health community, and its power for social change. It will cover three topics: power relationships crossing Planetary Health and climate crisis; science, radicalism and civil disobedience, and the future of climate action.
