Laurence Janssens

Resident Representative of the Belgian Development Agency (Enabel) in Mozambique and South Africa

Laurence Janssens joined Enabel/CTB-BTC, the Belgian Development Agency in 2001. Since then, she has been assuming different roles and management responsibilities with the Belgian Development Agency: Coordination of the Sectoral and Thematic Expertise Department, Director of Finance and Human Resources, Advisor to the Managing Director and Responsible for the coordination of the Representation Offices, Coordinator of the Intervention Formulation Fund, Portfolio Manager in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Resident Representative in Senegal.
She holds a Master in Agricultural Engineering from VUB as well as a Master in Financial Management from Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management. From 1995 to 2001, Laurence has been the Director of COTA (Belgian NGO active in Appropriate Technology Exchange Collective) and she manages several independent consultancy missions for European commission and the World Bank.
